Krish Ashok is an anti-social, music loving philistine who is doing jalsa, showing jilpa, enjoying gilma, thinking about matter, vuttufying peter, sutthufying ooru and generally having gajabuja fun. Web 2.0, violin, guitar, balloon-wala flutes, pencil sketching, Terry Pratchett, Asterix, Chacha Chaudhry, Rajinikanth are some, not all, of his interests. Mixing things that don't mix in ways not attempted before is also a source of everlasting passion for him. In addition to that, he loves the city of Chennai, its auto drivers and its very expressive language, Madras Bashai (a.k.a Tanglish)
Since November 2006 however, he has added a new item to the top of this list - to seek out new and interesting ways to keep his wife smiling all the time.
In addition to his bold mission of spreading shallowness and nonsense through the medium of the internets, he also facilitates the encoding of evil longitudinal waves in the VHF part of the radio spectrum, 104.8 to be precise. He does this once every week on Sundays, from 2 to 5pm as part of a malicious plan to spoil people's siestas after a big Sunday meal.
ps: It's a 3 hour show about technology and the web. No jalsa/jilpa matters.
Music
The author dabbles a little bit in music. He is determined to use his 15 years of Carnatic violin training to produce everything except carnatic music. He has an unholy obsession with musical instruments and collects them like non-rolling stones gather moss. The author also has a distinct dislike for singing (especially his own voice) and this reflects in his creative output in the form of casual, trivial and oftentimes below-par vocals.
