The Avatar Chronology

July 25th, 2008: After a traumatic period of darkness when I lost access to both my gmail account and my blog, WordPress put a smile back on my face by restoring access to my blog.

July 21st, 2008: Nature decided to attend its call today. It was pouring for most of the day in Toronto, thus forcing us to stay indoors. So I finished Portal, and really felt bad for my weighted companion cube. But I did kill GLaDOS.

July 16th, 2008: Niagara Falls from the Canadian side is an amaklamatically spectacular sight to behold. It will remain etched in my eyes forever.

July 9th, 2008: Off to Toronto, Ontario, Canada (pronounced in the local tongue as Tronto, Onteiryo, Kuhnayda). For the uninitiated, the two characters in the glasses are Terrance and Philip.

Just noticed that you’re featured in the “The Best Blogs in India” from India Blogs 1.0. (http://www.labnol.org/india-blogs/indian-bloggers.html)

Then noticed that you’ve been placed under the “Music” category. While it does say a lot about how much the selectors understand the blog content, it is nevertheless a pleasure.

Because you see, your blog posts are always music to my ears! :-)

  13. July 27, 2007 5:02 pm

    Mahendra,
Noticed that. I was wondering why, especially when the only other blog in the music category is pretty much seriously into music, while I just use it for humour (well..attempted humour) purposes

    Krish,
I read your blogout to the kids this morning..about yourself , the radio ads and the punjaabi violin with a pseudo tamil accent….and they and me were howling and falling around till their father came to enqiure about the riot by the comp…and joined us , then and there, to listen to your three tracks, I like trancience best…[ I love cold play madly]and we had a moment of family bonding there…..The really big attraction that drew me to my husband in the first place was that he could keep me laughing from morning till evening without effort….a bit of history lesson there…just keep at what you are doing and your wife will glow every time she thinks of you….hope you are a distance runner. Dude absolutely loved your blog…its our[ the kids and mine] favorite blog though I couldnt get the jalsa and jilpa bit being a non Tamil south Indian. keep updating me on your latest nonsense[pronounced tanglishly]

Ashok: Thanks. It is Ashok, although the last name-first name confusion between south india and the rest of the world has introduced some confusion over the years. So at the moment, I dont really care, Krish or Ashok is fine. My online gaming handle is “SirDinglyDang” so that’s fine too :)

I spent the last 1/2 hr reading all of the comments. Will spend some time later in the evening finally reading what you write. Just wanted to call out that the expectation is very high currently! :) There are a couple of my good friends who have commented here so really looking forward to reading this.

    Hi Ashok

First time I am visiting you .. and thoroughly enjoyed myself.. would I be mistaken in sensing a Wodehousian streak in your writing style ? Positively hilarious stuff reminiscent of PGW !

I need some advice Krish. I’m writing this series called Modern Family/Galaata kudumbam. I want to go public with it. Check out my blog for the first two episodes maybe, if you’re free sometime. Don’t mean to be a bother. Thanks.
